HomeSentinel is software for Windows XP systems that you can use to help protect your home or business while you are away.
HomeSentinel FEATURES

HomeSentinel continuously monitors the video from up to four webcams and can alert you by email, phone, or both when it detects
motion.
Email alerts are sent to the email address you assign and contain the webcam video image that caused motion to be detected and five
additional images spaced at three second intervals.
HomeSentinel calls the telephone number you specify to make phone alerts. You hear a voice informing you that motion has been
detected.
Remote Viewing and Listening

HomeSentinel allows you to view what's happening in your home or
business over the Internet from a remote computer. HomeSentinel
combines the individual webcam streams into a single stream that
you can view with Windows Media Player, a Windows application that
comes standard with Windows XP computers, and for other Windows
computers, is available as a free download from Microsoft. Along
with the video, if you set up a microphone as your default audio
input device you can listen to audio too.
Uploading Images to a Remote Site

You can also create a permanent record of activity seen by
HomeSentinel. HomeSentinel can upload images at two different
rates to a website you specify. You can enter a low rate of
uploading when no motion has been detected, and you can enter a
faster rate (up to an image every two seconds) to be used when
motion has been detected.
HomeSentinel employs Microsoft Windows Media Encoder as its
broadcasting engine. Windows Media Encoder is a free download
from Microsoft, and download instructions are included in the
installation instructions for HomeSentinel.
